A night owl by nature, Jayla often wanders the streets of her home city deep into the night. Her nocturnal wanderings caused her to be punished for a crime she did not commit. A wealthy landlord decides to step in and “rescue” her from her punishment by sanctioning her for arena fights under his banner.

She finds herself fighting to one day be free only to learn there is much more to the world of arena combat she has been forced into.
